Dan Hepner joined the staff of Winona Friends in July of 2015 and served as the Associate/Youth Pastor from 2015 until 2020. As of January Dan is serving as Lead Pastor.
Dan was raised in Central Pennsylvania and became acquainted with the Friends Church while at Malone, where he graduated with a degree in Bible and Theology. He also has a Masters Degree in Pastoral Studies from Barclay. Dan has been married to his wife Kristin since 2006. Kristin is a middle school math teacher who was born in New York. They have two sons, Eric, and Derrick. As a family they enjoy playing sports, and
doing outdoor activities together.
Dan has a passion for lost people coming to know Jesus. He enjoys the variety of his roles at WFC and helping teach and preach the word of God.

Director of Children’s Ministries
Julee Kelly joined the staff of Winona Friends Church part-time in 2009 and full-time in 2012 as the Director of Children’s Ministry. Her responsibilities are to oversee and direct all of the programming, teaching, training and volunteering that occurs in the Children’s Wing. Julee is also the Office Administrator as of January 2019.
The Winona area has been Julee’s home since birth and she has attended Winona Friends since childhood. She attended United Local High School, has a BA in Bookkeeping & Business along with an educational license from Malone University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Kent State University. Julee married her husband, Chip, in 1990 and they have two children. Bridgette graduated with her PharmD from Toledo University in 2020 and Mitchell is at The Ohio State University studying Business.
Julee has a passion for teaching children and invites families to join us at WFC to see what we’re all about. There is programming for all children at both 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.
Director Of Music
Cindy Neiswanger joined the WFC Staff in October 2014 as the Worship Pianist and Choir Director. When called upon, she has been the Worship Leader during transition periods. She was raised in East Canton and went on to get a degree in Music Education from Anderson University, Anderson IN. She retired in June 2020 after 32 years of teaching Jr. High and High School Choirs in Canal Fulton, Sebring, and the last 17 years at United Local.
Cindy has two adult children, Sarah (Matt) Close of St. Clairesvill and Jason of Akron and three grandchildren, Lilah, Josiah, and Leland. Her husband, Randall Neiswanger, was a pastor for 18 years at Chapel of the Cross in North Lawrence, Westgate Friends in Columbus and Beloit Friends in Beloit prior to his death due to leukemia in 2000.
She is passionate about seeing fellow believers use their gifts - vocal or instrumental - to praise God and to bless the church body. When she needs to relax and escape the stress of the day, she enjoys sitting at the piano and playing hymns of faith. Reminders of the past soothe the soul!
